QPR Stats 2024
It's been an interesting year at Loftus Road with a great escape from relegation at the start of the year before a very mixed end to the season.
We won double the number of games we did in 2023 with 16 wins whilst the 16 defeats was far less than the 29 in 2023.
Our home form was again not great, we won 8 home games in 2024, we've won more than that 15 times this century so better than the pathetic 3 wins in 2023 but still not great.
Our longest run without a win was 13 games between August and November whilst our best unbeaten run was 7 games in November & December.
We scored 57 goals which is our best year since 2021 when we scored 77. We won 62 points across the year which would put us mid table in the Championship.
We kept 19 clean sheets, 13 from Begovic and 6 from Paul Nardi. We've only kept more clean sheets in a calendar year twice since 2011 so a much improved defensive effort.
We had just 2 red Cards and the 92 yellow cards is our highest number this decade.
Paul Smyth made the most appearances, featuring in 48 of the 49 games played. Sam Field (45) and Jimmy Dunne & Steve Cook (43) were not far behind him.
Sam Field had the most goals with a grand total of 7, Ilias Chair, Michael Frey and Lyndon Dykes all got 5 on a very low scoring list.
Ilias Chair got the most assists with 6 ahead of Chris Willock and Lucas Anderson who all had 4 assists. This is the 3rd time in the last 4 years that Chair has produced the most assists in what was a difficult year for him personally.
Our biggest home with was 4-0 against Leeds United whilst the biggest away win was the 2-0 win at Cardiff.
Our biggest home defeat was 1-4 against Middlesbrough, with the biggest away defeat being the 3-0 losses at Swansea and Hull.
So a better year for QPR as we stayed up from what looked a hopeless position and end the year outside the bottom 3 again.
Hopefully 2025 will be an even better one with QPR up the other end of the table.
